Utica Drop Forge & Tool Co. products | about us | early adopters | principals | partners New York, 1920. Business was booming, booze was bad, and two poor young dreamers needed a place to lay their heads on their typewriters. The erstwhile pair found a cozy office space, and soon found that they were being more successful at producing nothing than they had ever dreamed. "Mr. Benchley," said Mrs. Parker, "I think we've got something here." "No, Mrs. Parker, we don't," came the reply. "I beg to differ," she whispered, pouring another shot for each of them. And Mr. Benchley nodded, and saw that it was good, and it was the end of the first day. The next day, they named their new venture the Utica Drop Forge & Tool Company, and a legend was born. Nearly a century later, UDFAT has considered and rejected nearly every possible good and service under the sun. Our dedication to nothing has consistently ensured our leadership role for zero growth businesses the world over. With today's new internet-based business models taking all kinds of crazy risks with other people's money, we have always kept close to our roots. We hate to gloat, but as we see more and more businesses turning to our time-honored model, we can't help it. See what our early adopter partners have to say about us. As we approach our 100th anniversary, we appreciate your continued support of UDFAT, and we welcome you to join us in our efforts to provide nothing to everyone. The Utica Drop Forge & Tool Company. We doth not give, nor do we taketh away. The Utica Drop Forge & Tool Co is created and maintained by Rahne Alexander. This medley of extemporanea was updated August 2002. |
